Sourdough bread is the preferred bread in our home. We live in an area where we cannot easily find sourdough bread, then it’s mostly commercially sourced. We stayed away from eating bread unless it was whole grain or sourdough.

Characteristics

It is a little more acidic as we like sour bread. It is active and makes beautiful leaven

I discard all but 75 g of starter (I keep discard) and refresh with fresh flour and water

Whole wheat starter made with central milling organic type 110 wheat flour and tap water. I feed with 75 grams each
