A friend in New York had an interest in wanting to make a starter but wasn’t sure how so I decided to try it.

Characteristics

Sourdough bread with fantastic flavor and rise as well as amazing pancakes especially when adding yogurt or ricotta!

Recipe

Starting ingredients

  • 50g Wheat flour
  • 50g Bread flour
  • 100g Water

Feeding ingredients

  • 50g Whole wheat flour
  • 50g All purpose flour
  • 100g Tap water

whole wheat flour, all purpose flour and tap water once a week and then make bread. Use leftovers from starter for pancakes
